Me and Winnipeg

I was born and raised in Winnipeg and am a true cheerleader of the benfits that Winnipeg offers.  For a city of its size,  it offers incredible opportunities in entertainment and culture.  The  Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet, The Manitoba Opera, many live theatres, the Winnipeg Art Gallery, The Manitoba Museum of Man and Nature, The Assiniboine Park Zoo and more all within 30 minutes of everywhere.  There's great dining here and many outdoor locations like The Forks, The Lyric Theatre and Assiniboine Park.  Of course, we're very proud of being the new home to the Human Rights Museum (fingers crossed).

I often tell people relocating to Winnipeg of a family I was helping many years ago.  They were from Ontario and he was being transferred here.  His wife and kids were kicking and screaming about having to move to Winnipeg.  Three years later, when he was transferred to another city, the wife and kids were again kicking and screaming because they didn't want to leave. Winnipeg is a great place to live.

Professional Background

I began my real estate career in 1986 and since then have maintained my professional standing with mandatory yearly upgrading courses, required and run by the the Manitoba Securities Commission.

Every sale is a new learning experience, for each transaction is different and offers new insight into the business of real estate.

Professional Interests

Presently, I am involved in The Manitoba Real Estate Association's Shelter Foundation.  I currently sit as the vice chair of this most exciting endeavour.  Newly chartered as a registered charity, The Shelter Foundation is involved in raising money to fund other charitable organizations relating to providing shelter in Manitoba.  I am proud to be a Foundation Builder and am excited about the prospect of making a difference in the lives of others through this very worthwhile organization.

I think one of my great strengths is getting to know what my clients are looking for .  It's a wonderful characteristic in my profession to listen - to actually hear what is being said.  Sometimes that is not always verbal - it may be body language or reflexive responses.  Being in-tune to my client helps to ultimately achieve success.  I pride myself in being able to work throughout the entire city with ease and expertise and my range of properties runs from the extremely modest to the ultimate in price and quality.
